11/2000 Develop, Test, and Document Operations Application Amazon.com
For Amazon.com's Enterprise Integration Group, I developed, tested and presented a standardized form for their various supply partners' transfer of catalog information to Amazon's datawarehouse. This project was successfully completed ahead of schedule and under budget. For more information, contact Sean Dodson, sdodson@amazon.com
5/2000-10/2000 Developer / Webmaster / Project Manager Puget Sound Energy
Ongoing intranet and business applications development and End User Development Support of VB, VBA, Excel, Word, Access, Frontpage, Internet Explorer.
- Responsible for intranet and business applications development using, primarily, Visual Basic, Access and Frontpage on Windows2000 web servers with IIS 5. One major project I completed at PSE was automating the capture of data from a legacy telephony system at the IT Helpdesk and developing an application for analysis of demands and Helpdesk performance. I also provided expert, or Tier 2, support for Microsoft applications and primary support for the Puget Sound Energy Intranet. For more information and recommendation, contact PSE IT Manager, Chris Deitz, cdeitz@puget.com or Senior Analyst, Joel Chrisman, jchris@puget.com
6/1999-3/2000 Database Intranet Applications Developer Microsoft
Data projects management and development for Microsoft Worldwide Operations using SQL Server, VB, ASP2.
- Document Manager and Assistant Project Manager for the WWOPS Scorecard, a major metrics integrity project, employing SQL Server 7.0 stored procedures, output to Access for display on the intranet, with VBA pivot table and chart drilldowns. I documented agreements as to World Wide Operations metrics definitions, utilized MS Project to establish and maintain schedule, and created Visual Basic routines to display data.
- Team and solo development of tools for Microsoft's intranet using Visual Source Safe, ADO, Visual Interdev, SQL Server 6.5 and 7.0. I developed a SQL stored procedure to calculate sales for the Greek Tax Commission.
- My other duties at Microsoft included using a Siebel Enterprise service manager to provide primary help desk support for an order entry tool used on the Microsoft world wide intranet. In conjunction with this support, I created a database of user information and a database update tool for Microsoft's intranet using Visual Source Safe, ADO, Visual Interdev, VBScript, and ASP2, which allows users to maintain and update their records via the intranet. Responsible for manufacturing supply systems, systems analysis and improvement. Led team of 5
- Managed inventory control department using a computerized MRP system, for Fortune 1000 company. My systems analysis and restructuring of the raw steel supply chain resulted in a savings of 15%.
- Chaired production project resulting in most efficient annual inventory count in the plant's history; chaired project to create inventory cycle count system.

6/1995-5/1998 Senior Buyer/Supervisor MRO Purchasing Alaskan Copper Companies
Responsible for supply systems, major contracts, systems analysis and improvement. Led team of 4
- I design and implemented ACC's first PC departmental LAN, consisting of five stations, including an image archiving workstation, shared physical resources, and terminal emulation to the company mainframe.
- Served as DBA for an Access DBMS with a Watermark front-end, used to archive purchasing history. In this, I improved procedural efficiency, throughput and the amount of data handled by the system. I also wrote several applications for my department including their Purchase Order Log.
- Using Access with Excel VBA input routines, I designed and implemented a procedure to track, index and distribute Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and their respective chemical products in compliance with OSHA. In addition, using straightforward forms, clerks input percentages of hazardous chemicals shown on the MSDS and the unique MSDS number associated with each product and size. At the end of the year, purchasing history is input, resulting in accurate hazardous chemical consumption counts, as required annually by the EPA. For more information and recommendation, please contact Patricia Cecchini, Buyer, ACC (206) 382-8223
9/1991-5/1992 Excel Macro Programmer Continental Mills
Development contract project to implement and improve prototype warehouse locator.
- Here I was part of a team which built a warehouse locator for use in Krusteaz' largest warehouse. The output from the tool was used by forklift operators, who put together orders and counted inventory. Output consisted of the shortest path through the warehouse necessary to gather an order, taking into account product age.
